kbyway.jpg I read somewhere, "There is always something blooming in the desert." This is especially true in March and April. After even a moisture deprived winter, some desert plants will bloom. Here the bottle-brush clusters of red ocotillo flowers compliment the tiny yellow flowers on a Palo Verde tree. Soon a crown of creamy white flowers will appear on top of the saguaros attracting even more birds, bees, animals and human visitors to the area. The saguaro's flowery crown signals near 100 degree temperatures in Tucson and the ever increasing numbers of visitors to the beautiful and cooler Mt. Lemmon area.
