Look closely, under the tree and just beyond the bush of white flowers is a stone building from the Mayhew Lodge. Just under those white cliff is the Wilderness Register where the trail takes on its really personality. Now visitors become immersed in a riparian area of deciduous trees and flowing water, a place of quiet comtemplation and exciting discoveries.
