eshom-crk-cg-sequoia.jpg The drive to the Sequoia National Forest's Eshom Creek campground is an adventure in itself but well worth the adventure. The story goes the area was used by Native People for centuries before the white man put a dam across Eshom Creek. The dam was used in a logging operation until it broke and flooded the area of what we now call Eshom Creek campground. The rushing flood waters washed away any trees the loggers had left standing. But soon after a new stand of trees began to grow. None of the tree's found in the campground are more than 125 years old, including this "little" Sequoia tree.
