Pinyon pine, cliff rose, and Ponderosa pine grow up to the edge of the North Rim along Crazy Jug Point. A walk of a few hundred feet from the parking area leads to the overlook. Could that be Bridgers Knoll near Tapeats Springs? A topo map and some training in reading it might have helped us better identify landmarks but either way the view is magnificent.
