Melt a pad of butter or margarine in a skillet. Add prepared fruit (I used cherries, halved and pitted but sliced peeled apple or canned peaches works, too) to skillet. If you have, and want, sprinkle some sugar over the fruit and stir to mix. Cook over low campfire until fruit is tender. Sprinkle cookie crumbs over the cooked fruit and serve. A perfect ending to a “hard” day of hiking, fishing, biking, or whatever.
