Next, we drove up Crow Valley to Eastsound. Crow Valley was a delight. It reminded us of a miniature version of a farming valley in Vermont. Eastsound is in the center of Orcas Island. It is a bustling little community with a modern supermarket, library, hardware store, and all the essential services. But we were interested in seeing examples of the Island's pottery. We backtracked to Orcas Island Pottery, deep in the woods, on the west side of Crow Valley. It was an adventure just getting there and worth every bump. Walls, tables, and shelves of beautiful and interesting pottery awaited us.
