Fred could hardly wait to challenge Fremont ATV Trail. The Fremont ATV Trail is huge - stretching almost the whole length of Utah! We only explored a stretch between State Route 12 near Bryce Canyon and the town of Panguitch. It took us about 5 hours to make the loop. While the scenery wasn't as spectacular as we had hoped, it was very interesting. All this geology makes me wish I had learned more in my college geology classes. Could that layer of white be ash from some ancient volcano? Is the reddish layer mudstone? Why do the colors alternate? So many questions and few answers.
