Initially, we took Icefield Parkway north to Jasper. After a week of exploring Jasper National Park around the town of Jasper, we are now heading south to complete our exploration of Banff National Park. On our first pass through we noted places to revisit on a Parkway map (available at the Lake Louise Information Center). This overlook was one of the places we revisited. After only a week's time, we could see the snowline climbing up the mountains. We also noticed less traffic - reason unknown.
