We decide to explore a bit of Canada outside of its national parks and headed west from the Jasper town site on Yellowhead Highway 16 to Valemount and the Cardinal Ranch for a trail ride. It had been a very long time since Fred and I had done any horseback riding. It was fun to see the land while someone else did the walking.
