We got to Death Valley National Park late in the day. The salt flat was not visible in the early evening twilight. The next morning we headed for Beatty, a nearby community just northeast of the Park, and got to see the flats. The size and extent of white was amazing. This is all that is left of the enormous Ice Age's Lake Manly.
