Lake Fannin Park was built by the Rural Resettlement Administration during 1935/1936 as a recreation area. "The Lodge and overnight cabins (originally 16) were built in the rustic style common to federal park arcitecture at the time." The Park is on the National Historic Register of Historical Places. Restoration of the buildings is ongoing by volunteers; some of their herculean work is displayed below. |
