rustic feel - Absolutely required! Fortunately, not much change needed.
RV hookups - I'll plug if electricity is available, but it certainly isn't necessary.
hot showers - Most don't even have running water. If I want a shower I can stop in a commercial CG for a night.
trails - That's why I go to the NF in the first place.
swimming - I there's water, sure, but we can hardly expect them to construct a pool where there isn't.
host - A nice touch in a CG that is large enough to warrant it, but hardly expected in those that that have 5 to 10 sites.
dedicated tent sites - I don't know that dedicated sites are needed, but there do need to be at least some that are suitable for tents. When I tent camped I hated to pitch on gravel, and a tent is much harder to level than my RV is.
security - Is it even possible?
My one complaint - I doesn't cost much more to make the pad level than to leave it tilted as so many are.

Good points, but I'd submit that dedicated tent campsites are preferred by many tent campers. Running RV generators, for example, are understandably, particularly annoying. Walk-in tent sites in a separate area are very popular and something we support.
