Hi All! I have a XL cot question for the group. What do you put under your cot legs to distribute the weight and prevent tent floor damage? Thank you for your replies. Brad

I used to use basic rubber furniture casters. That should be enough to distribute the weight / keep the legs from punching thru the floor.

Being cheap I have in the past cut some 5 or 6 inch rounds about 1 1/2 to 2 inched thick in camp and used the end of the chain saw to hollow out the center a little. They don't typically last longer than one camp because they dry out and split. They do however work great at spreading the load. Especially on an XL cot.....they normally see a pretty large load. They work great even if you don't have a floor. Spreading out the weight keeps the odd leg from finding a soft spot to sink into under your cot.
good luck, Mike

Local hardware store should have sets of plastic disks used for sliding furniture on carpet. They come in various sizes and would probably do the job for you.
