What historic fort on the Apalachicola River, now in the Apalachicola National Forest (FL), was involved in 3 wars? The picture displays berms which outline part of the fort perimeter. This fort is also the location where 270, mostly non-combatants, were killed from a single American gunboat shot. The first two people who name the fort and the three wars on this forum, receive a U.S. National Forest Campground Guide regional ebook on CD of their choice. Offer ends August 31, 2010.

I believe this Fort Gadsden, which was involved in the War of 1812, The first Seminole War and the American Civil War.
