I think our National Forests are darn near perfect. There is something for everyone. If you want electric hookups with shower houses,they have them.If you prefer to get away,they have campgrounds with only pit toilets and no hookups. I have even found at least one NF campground with some full hookups.The one thing I do agree with is enforcing the rules. Even in no fee campgrounds, make sure rules are clearly posted and someone should be comming around every day or so to check and enforce the rules. I also think that the forest service does a pretty good job of maintaining the campgrounds and cleaning the facilities.

Agreed, though I do like the solitude of a national park on occasion state parks do have it all and are mighty convenient!
