I visited March 2012.




The CG was opening for the season however they were still completing plumbing work in the campground, hence the tape across many parking aprons. The parking aprons are paved and each site has a picnic table, fire ring, lantern hook, water and electricity.




The campground is composed of two loops with a total of 39 campsites and this was taken in Loop B.




21-acre Coleman Lake. There is a trail that goes around the lake.




There is easy access to the Pinhoti Trail from the campground.

Thanks for the really good, descriptive pictures of an excellent, destination campground in Alabama. Destination because of the nearby Talladega Raceway, hiking, fishing, Shoal Creek Baptist Church and the historic Cole Cemetery (see pictures below). Other features of the campground are most any size RV fits just fine and there's an RV dump station. And, how I love those eastern hardwood trees.
