Hi, we are planning our trip to the Sequoia Nat'l Forest in early June. I was wondering if anybody out there has any input as to where one may camp, good campsites, better campsites? We're not sure as to where the best campgrounds or sites may be so I'm throwing this line out for some help. We will be going in off of the 99 highway just East of Visalia. Any notes would surely be welcomed. Thanks Bayou Kid.

bayou kid - I thought for sure you would have had a bunch of suggestions. Well, here is my contribution. Hume Lake and Princess campgrounds are hugely popular. Hume Lake isn't less rv-friendly but does have a lake. Princess tends to be quieter and more rv-friendly (surrounded by wild irises aka flags made it one of the prettiest campgrounds) but no water sports. However, as a former tent/car camper, my vote is for Eshom cg. Not as easy to get to but camping among the sequoia trees would be fun, IMHO. Check detailed information for more info. about each. Hope this helps more than confuses.
