Zion National Park

It was 30 years ago I camped in Zion National Park with my young family. It was our first time camping as a family. Our site, in South Campground, was next to the North Fork Virgin River. Our dinner, corned beef hash and beets, seemed to take forever to cook. Much has changed outside the Park (the community of Springdale, just west of the Park, is bigger and with more good places to eat) but much is still the same within the Park. While my favorite places to camp are in National Forests, Zion National Park will always be a special place to me. Here are some of the reasons why.
