12paintbrush.jpg The Paintbrush is one of the showiest wildflowers found on the North Rim. These showy flowers bloom in a rainbow of colors including yellow, red, orange, and pink. Interesting fact: Painbrushes are semi-parasitic. They tend to tap into the root systems of nearby plants, taking its nutrients and water. The Paintbrush has no scent but bees and hummingbirds are attracted to the flower's color and abundant nectar.
