Hoodoos near BanffAbout a half-mile east of Tunnel Trailer campground is a short interpretive trail called Hoodoos. Interpretive signs along this short but steep trail explain the mystery of the bizarre looking natural pillars. The end of the trail has a breath-taking view of the Bow River valley and The Fairmont Banff Spring Hotel. This is a popular stop for tour buses so the trail may be crowded for brief periods of time. (FYI: Most of the pictures were taken before the sun was up so look a little on the dark side.) Click on a thumbnail to load the full image. |
