Rt. 56 east 1.8 miles to State Rt. 27. Turn left onto Rt. 27 and go
7.6 miles to campground and Forest Rt. 700 signs. Turn right at signs,
onto Rt. 700 (gravel) and go 4.2 miles to campground on left.

GENERAL COMMENTS:
The elevation is 3,300 feet.

This single loop campground winds through a stand of tall cottonwoods
within walking distance of Cimarron River. Four ponds, up to one-acre in
size, within the campground's boundaries, are stocked and offer anglers of all
ages an opportunity to "catch-the-one." The ponds attract a variety of birds
including ducks. A wildfire caused the removal of many of the campground's
older cottonwoods resulting in more sun than shade in the campground and
minimal privacy between campsites.
