White Mountain NF’s Become a Junior Ranger Program
Camping near us in White Mountain NF was a family of five. After a third rainy morning, my heart went out to that family and, during our meeting with the District folks, I asked if Smokey might has some “stuff” to help entertain that soaked family. They handed me a “Junior Forest Ranger Activity Booklet.” Upon completing the booklet and returning it to the District folks, they’ll be White Mountain National Forest Jr. Forest Ranger. Pretty cool.
But what is really cool is YOU, or a member of your family, can complete that activity booklet and be a Jr. Forest Ranger, too. Click here and print out your own booklet. Than complete and follow the direction on the last page to become a White Mountain National Forest Jr. Forest Ranger. Learn about clouds, bird calls, what insect’s name is the sound a clock makes, and more. Good fun.
