Entertaining children of all ages
I recently concluded most of us need something, an idea, toy, activity, in our “back pocket” when eating at a restaurant to keep it a pleasant experience for everyone. (Did you hear about the restaurant that is banning children under the age of 6? It claims attendance is up since they instituted this policy, go figure.) So, here is one idea: Tabletop Tic-tac-toe. Basically, it is your old fashion, paper and pencil game but you use for knives and six packets of sugar for one player and six packets of fake sugar for the other. Just lay the knives in the cross-hatch pattern and substitute the packets for your X’s and O’s.

More ideas to follow.
