Earth Day everyday when camping
Today is Earth Day, a day we celebrate Mother Earth and all that can be done to help her. IMHO, campers celebrate an Earth Day every time they go camping. Especially when they practice “Leave No Trace” camping.
What is “Leave No Trace”? Basically, it is when you leave a place as you found it or in a “more natural” condition. Here are five simple guidelines to “Leave No Trace” camping:
1. Keep a clean camp.
2. Clean up any trash left by others.
3. Leave rocks, logs, dirt, or plants where they are.
4. Use soap and bathroom far away from bodies of water.
5. Don’t have a campfire (a fire you sit around and talk/sing/etc) every night. The wood you use for that campfire could make a home for insects and small animals.

Very very important point when camping, leave no trace. Everything brought to the camp site should not be left, every trash thrown should be in its proper place. If there are no bins around, take the trash home.
